I haven't done that, but I would get in touch with SA and ask them. It makes since that when they discontinued the original EMP line and went to the Ronin that they would have used many of the same parts, including the slide configuration, and sight dovetails. Also not sure if the original novak sight and the new Ronin rear sight are the same height. Maybe someone on here has done a sight swap and can be of better assistance.

 

Thanks WVS, looks like a phone call to SA is in order. I much prefer the ED Brown rear sight. Research will continue.

I know the thread is s little old but I’ve been going through some sight issues on my emp.
Out the very limited sight replacement choices I bought a set of Dawson Precision fiber optics…I have other DP sights on other guns, love those and believe these will work out well if I can ever get them installed…
There was NO way I was getting the oem sights on my own and I tried….A local smith gave it a sho and was able to get the front sight out and the front fiber optic in but wasn’t able to change out the rear…just wouldn’t move…Pretty experienced smith but by no means his wheel house….No help from Springfield Armory but Dawson Precision is going to take shot …I sent in the slide and waiting to hear back…
I have said this before I love EMP but hate how limited the options are on accessories, grips, sights, holsters etc…

 

I removed the sights from my EMP Ronin to have the slide DLC'd, then reinstalled them. It isn't a job for the faint at heart. They are TIGHT. I've removed and installed a fair amount of sights, and they were, beyond a doubt, the tightest.

 

Thanks guys for your observations and experience. Think I will send the slide in and have Dawson do it.
