Before I bugger something up. Is it like my 1911s? I'll need shorter screws? Or will the original screws from the original grips work on a set of Lok Grip Thin Bogies?

Welcome to the forum Doctorlock. Good to have you on board. I don't have an SA-35 so I have no actual experience changing grips on one. A lot of times shorter, or the proper, screws will come with a set of grips if that's what required. If they don't, I would try the stock screws and just slowly tighten them and see if they will go all the way in and secure the grips without meeting any resistance along the way. If you feel something amiss during the process just back them out and obtain shorter screws.

When I bought the LOK "swell" grip panels I bougt a set of torx screws and a set of the tiny O-ring cushions at the same time. Search Amazon for "Cool Hand Customized Screws for Browning Hi Power." They sold for about $12.

I like the O-rings because they can be snugged down without danger of cracking the grip panels. I like the torx head screws because the driver (a T10 L-wrench comes with them) isn't likely to slip out and scratch the grip panels.
