It's a simple question. The intention is to further fellowship here at the Springfield Forum, and learn something about each other. It isn't a competition, argument, or bashing session. Simply, what is your favorite, and you are welcome to share why.
I own more Springfields than any other brand, and they are highly appreciated. However, my absolute favorite, both out of what I own now and what I've owned in the past, is my Bul Armory SASII 3.25 ultralight. It's a very well built 2011, small but not too much, it has a fantastic trigger and sufficient capacity. Perfect? No. Perfect for me? As close as I've found. It's a keeper.

I probably have three handguns that are on top of my list. My Bul Armory SAS Tac II 4.25" is an absolute joy to handle and shoot and is an excellent all around range weapon, home defense and OK for me to OWB carry, especially in the winter. My top 1911 is my Springfield EMP4 Champion. She's super sweet and easy to shoot well. Last but not least is my CZ 75D PCR. I shoot it as well as anything, it's never failed me and has been a trusted companion on my hip for years. I like the DA/SA with decocker style weapon for defensive carry.

I have over 20 different handguns. Here are my favorites and why they are the favorites.

Favorite over all: Beretta 92 FS. I can drive a tack with it. The indoor range I belong to has a 5 yard to 25 yard distance for placing the target. At 25 I cab place an entire mag in the 9 and 10 ring.
Second best is my M&P 2.0 .40, which has less than 1500 rounds thru it.

Best concealable hi cap pistol: Springfield Hellcat. Never had an issue with it and with over 9k rounds thru it have only had 5 fail to fire issues and it was ammo related. Great point and shoot at 7-10 yards.
This is followed by my Shield plus. While. Little larger it performs similar to the Hellcat and not one issue t to firerounds in the 5500 rounds thru it.

Best Pocket pistol: Glock 42. I have ten round mags and it is always reliable. It is good out to 10 yards max, but it has never had a failure. 4750 rounds thru it.

Best full size revolver is a Taurus model 65 made in 1985 in Brazil. Over 10k rounds thru it and can drive a tack!

Best compact revolver: S&W 442. Great point and shoot belly gun.

I'm partial to .45 1911s just because that's what I like. I have not embraced striker fired handguns much. I like an external hammer, safeties, etc. Pictured here are my EDC (Kimber Pro Carry II), my 5" SA Ronin, and my 1941 Colt M1911A1 from the Govt (got it in 1985). I'd like to get another 5" Ronin in 9mm, because I feel like I need a 9 in the stable. I'm also partial to Stainless these days, both in handguns and long guns.

I only have an Echelon. I use it as a platform for target shooting. It's the first SA pistol that I have purchased in over a decade.
I have had other SA firearms (M1A, 1911s, & polymer) and didn't think very much of them. But the Echelon is modular, is optics ready for the green dot that I like on a target pistol, and the five mags total (after "rebate"). A lower bore axis that the Sig P320 (but a little higher than a CZ). With the green dot, I can hold it steady enough to reach into the accuracy range of my CZ S2 & TSO2.
As noted above, I am not invested in SA but like their Echelon.

I have a very pretty Colt Lightweight Commander which I bought new decades ago. Arthritis unfortunately has made it painful to shoot. I also own a new SA Mod 3, a CZ P10 C, and an SA XDM Competition .40 S&W, but I'm not 100% comfortable in carrying striker fired pistols cocked but not locked due to the lack of external safeties, so I have to vote for my CZ P09 with the hammer decocker.

My SA Prodigy Comp hands down. 4000+ trouble free, fast and accurate rounds downrange. My #1 Gun out of the box when shooting competition.
Welcome to the forum jmo102761. That doesn't appear to be the stock trigger on your Prodigy. Would you please tell us about it, why you changed it and how it improved the performance.

…after 3K error free rounds, my Sig P226 Extreme has been my all time favorite and bedside table pistol for the last year.

It feels good in my hands. I’m able to keep a good purchase on the gun which allows me to control the recoil for quick follow up shots, along with the factory short reset trigger is why I really enjoy this pistol.

Love everything about my Echelon except trigger reset is very light and slow. This is a very common complaint, however the only complaint I have ever heard about the platform. I can shoot faster than the trigger resets. Does anyone know if Springfield has a new spring or if anyone is offering an aftermarket spring that is better? Powder River sells a trigger kit but the reviews there also state that the stock trigger spring is still better than the aftermarket.

Powder River Precision has a much better trigger kit. It is found here ... PRP® Trigger Kit for Springfield® Echelon™
This kit can be installed by the end-user or an armorer or a gunsmith. Both YouTube and PRP have installation videos for this trigger kit. This kit is widely used in my area and has a good reputation.
PRP has instructional videos for their products found here ... 123powderriver
