Not apparent in the pic is that the working parts of the sights are flocked (yes flocked - my own patented... Well, my own technique discovered accidental-like when I sprayed some 250 degree engine epoxy on a hot gun) black. The Hammer and sear are completely recut to engage properly and function reliably (at 2.5#), an SA thumb safety was recut for a retro look. The rails on both the frame and slide have a nice thick coat of paint on them to improve the fit and accuracy of the gun, if not it's feeding. A full size flat checkered MSH was cut down to fit (and I only made it just a tiny bit too short).
Oops, forgot to paint the end of the barrel red so I can get away with carrying it during dangerous trips to the mall.
