I need to replace the hammer spring and get new caps and retainer to go with the installation of a magwell on my R.O. Champion. Does anyone know the weight of the spring that I need? Better yet a kit one. I saw one from Brownells and Midway but it doesn't mention the spring weight. For reference, mine has the ILS.

You may want to get a 15, 17 and a 20 in case the lighter springs give you light strikes. The 15 will give you a nice smooth slide cycle and a better trigger pull if you can get away with it. The heavier springs tend to make the slide travel slowly until it overcomes the heavy mainspring then it'll speed up. You can feel it when you manually cycle the slide.

I got the rebuilt kit from Ed Brown (spring was a 19#), installed it with the magwell and very happy with it. The trigger breaks crisp and smooth like butter.
