Greetings to all.Just signed up here.I recently bought a 1911 Mil-Spec, a noticed that the slide movement was a bit rough at one spot along it's travel.I disassembled the slide, and noticed that the last 3 digits of the serial number were engraved on the inside rear of the slide, right on the portion of the slide that the disconnector rides on. Apparently the disconnector was catching on the stippled surface of the engraving. It's not enough to interfere with operation, but I am wondering if this is a normal production procedure for Springfield?-
