Took my new SA35 to the Range yesterday … what Fun!!!
Put 200 rounds of 124gr. FMJ thru it … WOW!!!
Fit and finish is great
No trouble loading Magazines ( I have 3)
Did have 2 issues with double feed … but that was my fault
Gun cycled flawlessly
Accuracy was spot on .. probably would have put more in the 10x if I’d go to the range more often
Thoroughly enjoyable day
I am aware of past issues with failure to eject @ 650-750 rounds …
SA customer service said these issues have been addressed before the 12/2022 production date on my SA35..
I sure hope so … Time will tell
That being said … it was well worth the 2+ year wait …,

Glad to hear you enjoyed your new SA35. Why were the 2 double feeds your fault? What did you think of the trigger reset?
Double feeds were due to my not fully seating the last top off round properly in the magazine …(wasn’t all the way back)
No issues were apparent with the trigger reset … to be honest I was anticipating issues
Last 3 Springfields I purchased had Failure to feed and lite strike issues … All resolved upon return to factory warranty work …
So I was pleasantly surprised with yesterdays range time
I also had a new Ronin 4.25” .45 that I shot
Again no issues whatsoever … after 125 rounds
Going to take them both back to the range asap and do it again

Excellent! On your next range trip it would be nice to hear your thoughts on the SA-35 trigger reset. Whether it's short or long compared to some other handguns, how tactile is the reset and maybe if you have a trigger gauge what the pull weight is. Some of the folks on here might like to hear how yours compares with what they're finding on their SA-35.
I also have a 4.25" Ronin in .45. It has run great and is a joy to shoot.

Many many SA35 owners complain of the pistols fail to extract, mine had that problem. Every mag would have at least two FTE's. I ordered a C&S extractor, installed it and what do you know....it runs like a scalded dog. Clipped a couple coils off the hammer spring and it lightened the trigger pull a tad. Still sets off the rounds.

You don't ever need to clip any coils off the hammer spring as you can buy different lbs hammer springs. Wolff are manufactured and sold in shops for ALL makes and models of pistols a swell as recoil springs which when reduced fro around 16lbs to 12lbs a reduction in recoil and no they do not harm the pistol, just make it more fun to shoot.

Great News, Zman1054. Nothing beats experience and rounds downrange is key.

I have 750 rounds through my SA-35 with no problems. I run both 115 gr FMJ and 147 gr. FMJ. Will start JHP rounds if I move to CCW.

For @WVSurveyor, my SA-35 trigger is great and I'm not leaning to making any changes at this point. I rate the trigger as #3 in my lineup behind my Nighthawk Customs .45 ACP and my SIG P226 9mm Legion SAO.

I like the SA-35 balance, slender profile, the factory grips (at this point).

Cheers.

Hey Neubs… the 2+ year wait for my SA35 was worth it … I sold My Beretta 92 centurion to buy it ..the Beretta was nice but just wasn’t a good fit.. so it sat in the night stand and was rarely shot
I’m not much on checking the trigger break and reset … if the gun functions properly and I get good shot placement … I’m Good
I don’t shoot competition… I just enjoy days at the range .. putting round holes in paper
Catching up on the years I missed while I was working…
Retired now and enjoy my toy time
And this SA35 is going to be fun … I can tell
