my trigger is sticking seems like its tied to the safety as you squeeze the trigger theres a sticky spot that actually moves the hammer a little
then stops then engages again then the hammer releases.anyone else have this? or maybe know whats causing it
it seems may be tied to the safety as it seems to move sometimes very little.any help appreciated thxs
PS..how did this pass QA ? just picked it up today and i noticed it right off

Might be because SA have little Quality control on their firearms or so it seems from so many posts with a variety of issues with new, "I just picked it up" situations.
Which SA pistol is it?

SA-35 one person mentioned maybe unpolished sear spring
ok took it to the range this thiing is epic bad very first clip at least 5-6 empty casings stuck in barrel had to remove mag rack the slide
it would then eject the round.replace loaded mag and would only rack by manually releasing slide stop would not release by racking slide
also trigger had the weird action mentioned above.ran about 75 rounds 3 different ammo brands same results some where around 25-30(i lost count)
non ejected empty casings did not eject. I figured with serial no.of 14,000 i wouldnt have the issues of the earlier ones OH...THATS SO NOT THE CASE !!!
If the pistol is failing constantly to extract, LOOK at the extractor and or replace, or is the extractor broken, or in the extractor spring missing????
Strip the pistol,.then take the slide, and put a 9mm case under the extractor. Dose it hold the case To tight, or loose. Is the extractor fitted correctly.
If it fails to extract it is a extractor problem.

yeah its brand new and they are well known for the extractor issue.as far as the rest goes i would bet it has to do with the sear spring.
ive had it now for 3 days theres no way they are getting away with selling this and getting off scott free... they can fix it.

Found this, a ling address it may explain whats going on. "springfield sa-35 problems - Google Search
yeah he said 3 or 4 times fail to eject and 3 or 4 time fail to load in 200 rnds.mine almost did that in the first mag.
not going to void my warranty on a maybe like i said they can fix it.if they cant they can replace it
also forgot to mention the safety feels like complete trash as well

i do agree when its working it feels great the weight the balance the fit i can see it being a favorite to shoot
just not in the shape it is now.

The Springfield Armory SA - 35 is a direct copy of the Browning High Poser. The magazine disconnect safety is tied to the trigger so the gun will not fire with the magazine removed.. The safety can be taken out and polished so that it will not do that. i suggest you send it to Novak's Pistol Shop in Parkersberg West Va for his trigger package . HE IS and ABSOLUTE MASTER on the Browning High Power and its clones.
Yes a shooter is always able to find someone who will fix, for a price what was a fault on a few pistol, it is a Quality control issue with Springfield. He wants to know the cause and so do we here reading all this.
On another note the SA 35 did look familiar, yep, a Browning High Power. WORST pistol God ever created. THAT is a personal opinion from many years. As i tell everyone at
the clubs i shot at, a great paper weight or door stop. It's not the pistol it't the rotten safety.

Not quite Springfield removed the magazine disconnect safety as it was so hated because of the trigger. The also put a rounded hammer and extended the beaver tail get rid of hammer bite. They finally gave it a better set of rear sights instead if that tiny v. They may have made other minor changes.
So why no fiber optic front sight, no adjustable rear sight, no ambidextrous safety? Only did half a job.

Probably to keep it under a $1000 and see how popular its before introducing other options. Your still getting more than half the work custom shops did with BHP's.

Voltaire,

You sure are grumpy.

As to adj. sight, fiber optic front, ambi---don't want them.

You sure are grumpy.
Not grumpy or whatever, just asking and why not have fiber optic sights, adjustable front and rear ability sights. Makes shooting a great deal more accurate and easy to adjust.
If you don't want them, i don't care i was offering options. Name calling is for children.
ok..sent it into Springfield and took 5 weeks to return had more problems then i could have imagined they replaced the safety the barrel and fine tuned
the extractor.and what i got back is probably the best handgun i now own.the trigger which was bad to say the least is right there and theres almost zero
takeup and hardly any travel after.the groupings i got from it are by far the best out of five other hand guns i own which consists of 2 berettas 2 rock island armory
and a Springfield garrison and none of them are slouches either.they truely do back their product 100% and make it right kudos to springfields RMA AND
REPAIR DEPT very well done.

oh yeah forgot not one round failed to be extracted.(y)

Glad to hear the news guydodge. It's a shame it came from the factory the way it did, but at least SA is willing to make things right. Enjoy your SA-35 and please keep us up to date on its performance.
