Hey everyone. I have a new 4in RO champion and boy is this gun great. So far I love the thing. First time shooting it I out about 170 rounds thru it. When I was cleaning it I noticed a horse shoe style mark on the top of the barrel and a ring around the barrel close to the muzzle. Just curious as to what is causing this and is it okay/normal? This is my first 1911 with a "bull" barrel so I didn't know if that was a factor in it. I cleaned and oiled it before I shot it as well. Thanks for the insight.

That's normal, both my "Loaded" and RO Compact have it.

Normal. My Champion Operator Lightweight has the same marks. I think it's a common abrasion mark for most bull barrel equipped 1911's.
