These are really beautiful. I softened mine up with some 1000 grit paper and gave them a coat of wax:

I bought a pair of bonded ivory grips with the Colt medallions from Altamont. When I got them, they were white as snow but they have turned to a, well, an ivory color. Those grips look good. I'm trying to come up with some grips that would look right on a stainless Springfield MilSpec.

Hate to give props to a huge corporate entity, but the new Hogue Ebony grips look great on anything. Just about everything available today is varnished, laminated, and laser cut. John Frach's checkering may be a little uneven, but the truly high quality materials he scrounges up, and the ovesize diamonds I asked for, make for a bold look.

I bought some bonded ivories for a Ruger SBH, and they blew to pieces during the first range trip! Nutmeg Sports has genuine old stock Colt Walnuts at an unbeatable price. I put them on my Hoag Mastergrade.
