After first range trip, got it home, went to field strip it, the barrel will not slide out. Everything else came apart easily. The barrel will not come out of the slide. The barrel lug jams in the front end of the slide.

Anyone else have this problem?

Can you supply a picture? Doesn't make any sense if you've field stripped it. Once the spring and guide rod are removed there is nothing to keep the barrel from coming out of the slide. Did you rotate the slide stop ring out of the way?

It was the barrel. Tolerance was too close. New barrel fixed it. Makes me wonder exactly how they got the barrel in in the first place.

That's so weird! Did you send it back to Springfield and they replaced the barrel or did you get a new barrel and replace it yourself? If the latter, how did you get the barrel out of the slide.

I brought it back to the LGS and they replaced the gun and will send the offending one back to SA.
