Hi all, just joined this forum.

I had a SOCOM-II with the urban camo stock stolen last year and it was recently recovered in an arrest and has just been returned to me.

I'm still looking it over, but for starters some a**hole spray painted the stock black. I used a little goof-off to remove some of the paint to verify that the stock was repainted rather replaced - the camo pattern shows underneath.

I would like to restore my firearm to its original condition so far as possible. I assume that the camo pattern is painted on the stock, not molded in?

Any suggestions or opinions if the spray paint can be removed without removing the original paint underneath?
Failing that, is there any way that I could get it repainted as close to the original as possible?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
