Just looking for some opinions or actual testament to the warranty on a Springfield 1911. With no modifications or altering just a bit of ultrafine paper to take down some of the burs on the internals would this go against warranty?

The industry standard for edge breaks is .010"-.025" so if you keep them at .010" how would they know? On any surfaces that appear rough I usually use an ultrafine cratex stick and make it smooth to the touch but leave the machine marks because the dirt/fouling need a place to go so they will not gall the metal. Running the gun wet helps too.

OK thanks again I just hit a few spots with some 1500 I really burnt think that would take any metal off or or change in the angles. I was just trying to clean up all of the surfaces and points of contact
