Im in VA, just outside of DC. Just bought my first XD .40 service. 2nd pistol. More of a long gun man. Love my Remington. Search and searched.... went with the Springfield Armory over the Glock. Just felt better. Hope I made the right choice. Anything I need to know?

Hey jj, welcome to the forum. I'm not a big guy, (5'8" 175 lbs), and I have small hands. Like you, the XD series just felt better to me. I also have the .40 Service model and love it. You won't be disappointed...

I bought it to carry. It is going to sound stupid but I intended to get the XDm. But got the XD in error. So I will continue to carry my SW bodyguard untill I get the XDm. Stupid mistake because I was in a rush. So in a long winded answer... for the range now.
