I have had my long slide Omega 45 for 22 years. I expected great accuracy of the Omega and was not disappointed. I also am very pleased shooting my XDM 5.25 9mm the last 6 years. The big surprise was the XDM 45 I have had for about 1 year. I wanted a high capacity officer sized pistol and got a really accurate shooter. Last trip to the range the Omega firing pin broke. I can see why as the tip is only .074" dia. I dug up the box which has all the papers and schematic and disassembly instructions. I hope that pin is also used in some other pistols but it looks nothing like my other 45 firing pins that are retained by the plate at the back of the slide. I came upon the Omega article in this forum and decided to join. I hear the gun can be sent to Springfield but would rather just buy a pin if I knew where. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
