I agree but Springfield 1911 pistols use a combat sighting or what is sometimes referred to a “pumpkin on a post”. Point of impact is higher than point of aim. I always adjust my sights to point of aim is point of impact at 25 yards. It’s a personal preference born from bullseye shooting.

One thing i have always enjoyed about shooting IPSC, IDPA as well as ICORE is that there is no black centre not one point on a target someone can use to as an aim point. The real world shooting, centre of seen mass and start shooting.

I’ve never got to do that form of shooting but I’d love to try sometime. I’ve only done bullseye and bowling pin matches.
