Evening folks, been shooting off and on most of my life. Mostly rifles but hunting around for good deals on concealed carry pistols. Narrowed it down to the XDM 3.8 9mm for the wife and the XDM 3.8 45 for myself. Only pistol I've owned was a Rugger P91 DC. Any advice from y'all will be appreciated. Y'all have forgotten more than I'll ever know. Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.

I can tell you that the most accurate hand gun I own, is a Springfield.

Personally for me, the XD M series is a little big for me to CCW.

The XD S series would be my choice for concealment

    Thats just me.

    Goodluck with your new SA.

    Welcome to the forum!

I recommend going to a range and renting several different guns, it will find you.

That's good advice, birddogyz! We just don't have a range within 100 miles that offer this.

Welcome! XDm 3.8 9mm is my EDC. Also have 5.25 Competition Series 45ACP and a recently won XDm 4" 9mm. All great guns.

Advice? Practice, practice, practice. Dry fire. Bullseye marksmanship. Shooting while moving. Clearing malfunctions. See if you can find an IDPA group to shoot with once in a while (or regularly!) Be safe while having fun.

OK, I'll shut up now... But you did ask for it! :D
