There are a bunch of stories in the news today about "New" gun laws in Los Angeles... The thing is, these "New" laws don't actually impose any additional restrictions. One new law says "no hi-cap mags"... There's already a CA law that's exactly the same. Another one says "Guns must be locked up or under control of the owner". We already have laws that make us liable for use of our guns when not in our control.

This seems to me to be exactly like the local hospitals posting Ebola warnings all over the place... They've never seen a case of Ebola, but they want to be seen to be doing something about it.

Sanctuary City... Right. It's a sanctuary for the wealthy. Illegal immigrants work for less than what it costs to rent a garage around here. The only thing that's free here is whatever you can scrounge from the trash during the 2 hours one day per week that the trash cans are out. Markets keep their dumpsters under lock and key. Sales tax is over 10%. Property tax is 2% and the average price of a house is over $400k - In my neighborhood, considered middle class, average price is over $700k. What about this seems attractive to immigrants?
