its kinda late but are you saying.
with all safties off and back safety depressed, you pulled the trigger
on a chambered live round, and it did not fire?
    couple questions for all . . .
firing pin mark on the misfire?
    what model is this?
    new or old . . . . how old?

Sorry it's a 4 weeks old XD 4.0 9mm it only has the palm safety.
When clearing the weapon with hand on the safety and pulled slide back my sweaty hand let the slide go forward hand went off safety and finger away from trigger but the round was fired I'm not sure how I was hoping someone could elaborate on this

There is a pin to push up the BLOCK of the firing pin. Only when you fully pulled the trigger, the pin is pushed up to release the BLOCK so that the firing pin can strike on the primer of the ammo. Their is a spring on the BLOCK. It should not be malfunction on a pretty new gun. A safe procedure to clean a gun is unload and release the magazine before cleaning it. Check it no ammo at all first! I believe this is not a miss fire.
