Went to the range today with my new Garrison 45 for . After which went home gave it a thorough cleaning and noticed the last half inch or so of the muzzle end of the barrel is slightly larger. Is this because it's a match grade barrel or some other issue. My RIA 1911 isn't like this. Sorry if it's a dumb question.

If you are talking about external it is not an issue and it's actually a design but if your barrel is bellmouthed you have a problem

How about a pic.
Can't see on a pick but it's something you can feel while cleaning the barrel. Tried to see images of other barrels and came across one that kinda shoved a machining difference about where I feel mine is different. Assuming that is slightly larger there so that the clearances at the barrel bushing are tighter. In my RIA there is some play between the barrel and the bushing but in my Garrison there is practically none.

It isn't an issue, but a design. It ran fine, right? I'm sure that it's flared to create a tighter fit with the barrel lug at lock up.
I believe your right just didn't really notice it when I cleaned and lubed after purchased. It seem to run fine at the range yesterday really accurate. Just noticed when cleaned it after shooting because I was extra thorough being that it's stainless and wanted it spotless.
Barrels, STI and CZ. Only one is a match grade barrel. Note the STI has a flared barrel at the front to seat it 100% into the frame.
Thanks ,first firearm I owned that had a matched barrel ,makes perfect sense now

What would cause a bellmouth ?
In a rifle its generally either a manufacturing fault or somebody has cut a thread for a muzzle device two small on diameter and the pressure actually Bell Mouths the muzzle it has happened on my tikka tact a1 but considering it's a pistol it doesn't operate anywhere near the same pressures I have no idea so it has to be a manufacturing fault .

Ps are you actually talking about the outside of the barrel or the bore if it's the outside disregard this post
