I myself hunt almost everyday...mostly small game in the semi-urban environment of my county. Since the neighbors are too close, I tend to keep my hunting skills sharp by using a break barrel, spring piston air rifle with a 3x9 scope and suppressor... made by GAMO, from the Whisper Series. ================================================== ==

I'm like you, but I skin and eat those tree rats. I almost got one the other day, but he hopped the fence and I don't know the new neighbors so I don't want to go into their yard picking up dead animals till I do.
Check this.... I've got a chipmunk in my sights...ready to pull the trigger...when a blur goes by and snatches my prey !! It was a Peregrine Falcon...talk about a hunter !! I let him have that one...
I am a novice hunter myself..I bought 46 acres this week to get myself up too snuff though..I will Be on it EVERY Weekend....and all week 2 nd. week of October!! I will be hunting!!
I been hunting deer for years with rifles, many calibers. I decided this year, that I will only hunt with a handgun, a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 magnum , open sites. A challenge for sure, with open sights. Wish me luck. btw my grandson will be using a lever action 24" brl .44 mag. Jim
Gamo whisper is a banned weapon in New Jersey because it is suppressed! http://www.guns.com/2013/09/12/new-jersey-adds-certain-air-rifles-assault-weapons-list/
That's Jersey for ya...I live next door to it and only go through it to get to the charter fishing boats...nothing else !!
Sorta like living in Ky, next to Ill, only go there when forced to. Them flatlanders pay dearly to come hunt in Ky. Jim
Only in the winter time after first freeze. They have parasites that the cold takes care of. I never eat rabbit in hot weather. The only reason I killed these 3 and 7 more in those 3 weeks in May, was ,they were getting my garden. Jim
I've been hunting for about 30 years for all sorts of critters with all sorts of weapons.I started hunting with handguns in the early 80's and prefer using them. I've used them for squirrel, coon, deer, coyotes, ground hogs and frogs. I'm currently hunting (when I can find places to hunt that is) squirrel with my G2 Contender pistol in .22lr,deer with either my Contender pistol in 35 Rem,my Contender 45 cal ml or my Contender 44 mag rifle and coyote with either the Contender .223 rifle or my Savage model 11 .223 rifle (I use to use a Contender .223 pistol ).
