Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I signed up for the forum last month but with our up and coming deployment I've been pretty busy. My most recent purchase is my 1911 LW Champion Operator. I only had a chance to take it out to the range once so far but I put about 180 rounds through it and I have to say, I'm more than happy with it.

Anyway, a little about me. My name is Chris and I've been in the Army for over 15 years. I'm married and have 4 kids. All of us, with the exception of our new born of course, love going out to the range when we can and making it a family outing. Well, if there is anything else ya'll want to know about me....feel free to ask away.

phideaux right on man. I've only been here since March, so I'm still learning the area. Got my first 1911 from Clarksville Guns and Archery. Nice bunch of guys over there. I usually go shooting on post. Just wish I could carry on post.

flechero, I spent about 10 years of my career at Fort Hood. My wife and I actually have a house out in Pflugerville. I plan on once I retire moving back there. I have to say, I miss Texas. And thanks about my 1911. I had been eyeing it for a while. Was stoked when I finally was able to get it.

mdr6370, believe me I'm going to do all I can to stay safe. And I'm going to be cleaning my weapon as much as I can. I just wish I would be able to mod my issued barreta so that it's to my liking. Hell, if I could I'd rather take my XDM with me or my 1911.
