And I went with what I believe one of their least common modern gun. EMP4 CCC
It's in CA jail for another week, before I can take it to the range. 99% of the time I CC Colt Combat Commander 45, and I hope the EMP4 can fill the 1% needs of a lighter gun, and cheap ammo day in the range.

A 9mm is certainly cheaper to shoot than a .45.

You are going to really like the EMP4CC. I’ve carried one for a couple of years.

I’m well aware of this:) although I’m more concerned that the lunges blowers don’t carry enough energy to stop LAs zombies quick enough. Picked up today, I’ll take it to the range Friday.
LOL, then the best option is a Desert Eagle .50 call. Mags are a bit small, at best 7 rounds.

If it could only shoot 7 rounds without jamming next are to find 1911 in 38 Special and 10mm, and I’ll be a complete person:)
Of the few handguns owned, several makes and models, not one over thousands of rounds ever jammed.
Kimber, CZ, STI, Caspian, and a few more. Yes cleaned after every shoot, extractors replaced annually plus hammer and recoil springs + magazine springs. Mags cleaned every month of powder and dropping into dirt.
Trigger spring on CZ were replaced as well as firing pins. All used in competitions and only used reloads, 9mm+pp and .38 super, major P/F
Always shoot in first 1000- 1500 rounds. All my pistols sold after 4 years, except my CZ, Czechmate, 11 years old now still has original barrel.

Maintenance is always the key.
As an addendum to my post yesterday i failed to mention i always ream out the barrel chamber by 1 thou. As well as replace recoil spring and hammer springs by springs 3-4 lbd lighter.
AS Neo1911 stated, maintenance is always a key as many issues can be found during intermittence.

Range report: 300 rounds split between 115,124,147 defensive mix brands, and 115,124 fmj 3 brands. 0 malfunctioned! Well… I lost the fiber optic at the second mag I always preferred a quality steel sight, but I’ll give it another chance once the new fiber comes in the mail. Also the sighs are about 1” to the right from 7 yards. I’ll fix it in the next range day.

If fitted correctly a red or green fiber optic shooting during daylight hours is in my opinion better than iron sights.
Also once fitted will or should, and it has for me on 3 pistols lasted some 2 years.
Also when i practice i shoot 7, 10 and 20 yards. As ling as I hit the A zone i am happy. To me speed and close proximity beats a bulls eye, 10.
Small inner target set at 20 yards, from the draw at less than 1.5 seconds.
