Hello all!

Just acquired my first personal weapon. I have fired weapons before in my time but have never personally owned any.

I recently (last month) fired my buddys XD9 and made the decision to stop putting it off and get my own.

Now I am so far happy to have an XD-M Elite 9 4.5" with an MCKSA9. I haven't fired it yet as I am still familiarizing myself with it all.

I have heard/read about many people suggesting a first clean and lube on the weapon before the first fire so I may be going that route.

I have also just recently ordered my first shotgun as well but that's another place and time.

That should do the trick. Nice weapon. I would give it an initial clean and lube before shooting. Let us know how it goes.
