I just bought the elite. To start, it’s 11+1 with the extension, or 10+1 with the flush fit base. Size is comparable to the Glock 19, and the barrel is 3.8”. The optic version really depends on which one you get. I’ve heard of a Vortex Venom model, but only seen the Hex Wasp model for sale. If you want the optic ready model, do your research. The Hex has a lot of issues, but you also need to be aware that nobody makes high enough suppressor height sights to co-witness yet except for Dawson Precision, and the rear sight takes up a large amount of view in the optic. If you’re looking to get an optic for it, Vortex will work with the stock plate provided, but any others will require a different plate sold by SA. Some will even require slight mods done to either the plate, gun, or both. Holsters are matched with the 45 elite though which is good. Last but not least, the polymer trigger seems to have issues with durability. SA is aware, but has yet to come out with a repair. From what I’ve seen, Powder River Precision has one of the only aftermarket triggers that can negate the issue, but you’re looking at 170 for that. Expect to spend an additional 300-400 dollars on top of the pistol if you want to fix the problems with it out of the gate. All that being said, it’s worth it. I got mine as a backup to my Glock 29 concealed carry, and it’s completely replaced it. Honestly thinking about getting another one, and selling everything else except for my AR and P229 Enhanced Elite in 357 Sig it’s so good.
