Why do so many M1A1 match grade rifles fire 2 rounds when the trigger is pulled mine did it the day I took it out of the box and does it every time its fired

if trigger is light it may be bump firing

Haha! My first thought too.
My Garand went auto with some reloads, I read it had to do with softer primers. Has not happened again with Surplus Ammo. This was quite awile ago.
Some commercial ammo have primers that are too soft for military and mil-spec rifles.
Try some different brand ammo.
Try some surplus ammo, it usually has harder primers. If you can not find surplus see if you can find some Winchester 7.62 NATO.

The Rifle is still like new it has been fired about 50 times and I live in California and I think you would want to come fire it and see if it does fire twice when the trigger is pulled I will soon take it to the range and see if it still does it
