I think I must clean mine too often. I clean after every IDPA match or range visit. Typically 100-200 rounds, sometimes less. I just do the basic breakdown to 4 parts and clean thoroughly. At about 5000 rounds, my retaining pin broke and my gunsmith had to replace it. I asked him to strip it all the way down, clean it and let me know if any other problems. He did, and when he returned it, he asked "How many rounds did you say you had fired?" I said "5000 or more" he said, "Bullxxxx, that thing looked brand new inside." YMMV.

I don't like having to punch out roll pins. I may start cleaning in the firing pin area since it's just a simple detente, kind of like the bottom of the magazine. But I do plan to earmark these videos. If I ever want to fully clean my gun, I'll know what is involved.
