I recently bought a pile of Federal 45 acp just for plinking. When I shot some in a Commander with a 22lb spring, the bullets were going all over the place. I had a misfeed, and when I cleared it I noticed that the bullet was shoved down into the case.

I took a new round from the box and pushed the bullet nose into a soft wood board with my thumb:

Time to go ream Federal a new one.

Call Federal. Maybe they will make it right.

Guess what? Federal has no customer service. None. Drive a Delorean, carry a Bren Ten, eat Mexican cheese, and shoot Federal ammo to live life on the edge.

Just don't finance your business like John DeLorean did. Hard to believe they don't have a CS dept. Geez

Maybe it was 'Hollywood ammo' ?

There's at least a couple movies or TV shows where someone simply pulled the bullets out of some cartridges with their fingers to get at the powder to make an improvised bomb.
