My kids have been great! I have three. A full size XDM in .45, an SA-XD in 9mm, and an XDS 3.3 in .45. I've seen a lot of folks hating the XDS, but I have to say, for a small gun, it's not bad. My wife carries it daily. She loves shooting it as well. I carry the XDM daily. Big gun, conceals quite nicely. I'm not a huge fan of the 9mm, but this one is a dream and so much fun to shoot! Not one single mishap with either of them.

Props to ur wife for "being man enough" to carry and shoot the XDs-45! I have friends that I've had to confiscate their man cards because they wouldn't shoot mine. I love it. It is now my range gun AND edc. Shoot what ya carry!

+1 on shoot what you carry. And practice drawing, reholstering, reloading, etc with what you carry and how you carry. Dry fire is good for a lot of this. But if you can find a place to practice live fire, such as IDPA, it's worth it.

I'm sure most shooters have a gun they wish they had never parted with....My XD45 was that gun. Hole in a hole accuracy, never a malfunction in over 5000 rounds, great carry pistol. Sold it to my best friend after 6 months of begging!!
