I will be starting to buy ammo for my new 1911 loaded stainless this weekend and I wanted to get some feedback from experienced 1911 owners when it comes to buying ammo. Is there any issues with buying aluminum cased over brass? I don't do my own reloads so that is not a factor since I heard you can't reload aluminum. Any advice is appreciated.

I have shot a lot of aluminum cased ammo without any problems at all.

Whether it be brass ( copper & zinc alloy ), aluminum ( bauxite ore ), or soft steel ( iron & carbon )...you won't hurt your SA 1911.

Believe me...been shooting all of 'em for decades...never had to replace an extractor ( or barrel ).

You will be a serious disappointment to your local brass scrounger.
