It shoots great. Throat erosion was 2. I do plan on keeping the sporterized stock. I am wondering now if the original cartouche stamping mark is still under that stock and maybe can be brought back if not sanded down to far. I will have to look into this.
believe me, not worth the effort.
You would ruin the custom effect, and have a half a custom polish job.
Leave the polished stock as is, maybe an infared device to check for markings without destroying the finish.
I don't have any use for the sporterized stock. If there is someone who can tell me that the orig. cartouche marks can be brought back and restained as original. That's the route I would go if not then of course I would keep the sporterized stock & purchase another one. Will have to look further into this!
Buy a replacement stock and keep the one that came with it.
Unless the rifle is all original to begin with, (highly suspect), you can get cartouch replacement dies to remake your existing cartouch. Better to make sure yours is not a frankengun.
Take it to a qualified armorer and have it gone over.
