Good morning from the rainy Willamette Valley, Has anyone had problems with the sights on a 1911 range officer operator? At 25 yards, targets smaller than a silhouette, are hard to see. I find the fiber optic front sight turns too bright with the white dots on the rear sight. I'm considering changing out the front with a standard white dot. Any comments on this?

The fiber optic front sight is one of the reasons I bought my Springers. The pistols that come with the nite sights, for me, are hard to pick up in the sunlight. I took the nite sights off of my TRS and had Novak put 3 dots on it, and I can see them way better. I might send it in to Novak and have them put a FO front on it. I like the FO front and 2 dot rear setup.

Welcome to the forum from Hillsboro.

I swapped over to fiber optic as I lost my sight picture with white night sites in daytime as well. I put a green laser on the front rail of my CLWO and that more than suffices for night time use if needed.
