Like the previous poster I have carried Condition 3 for at least 13 years, without worrying about racking the slide.
But with current situations and unrest, i am no longer comfortable with this.
Talked to my LGS yesterday, and he thinks two to three weeks, before they will be in stock. At any rate, I plan on buying one, solely based upon the published reviews.
Something that may possibly help:

Instead of gripping the slide and pulling it rearward all with one hand, try just gripping the slide with the one hand, and pushing the frame forward with the other hand.

Megafiddle; thanks for advise, I am right handed, and it was my right shoulder. Thus, not a lot of strength in my right biceps, just yet. It's been seven months since surgery, and my doc says "keep at the exercises, the muscles will not quit for a year or more". Just do what you can do, and hope for the best.

Ur welcome. I've shot it a couple of times and still think it is a great addition to the XD line. Going to a gun show
Saturday looking for a IWB holster for it and as soon as I find one the XDE will be my EDC for summer. During colder weather maybe the free holster that SA will send will do the job. Btw, any Ideas on a IWB holster? Will one for the XDS fit?
